A car really helps here: distances between venues are large, and neighbouring beaches — Surin, Kamala — are easier to reach by car.

Routes and airport
Bang Tao is the closest resort area to the airport (HKT) — about 20–25 minutes (roughly 15 km) via routes 4030/402. South leads through Surin and Kamala to Patong; north to Nai Thon and Nai Yang. The airport's proximity makes it handy for short trips and early departures.

Amazing Service. Rented Toyota Veloz for 7 days costed us approx 12000 baht including full coverage insurance. Picked up and dropped off at the airport. Car was brand new deep red color with around 100km on the odometer. Pickup and drop off process was quick and smooth. We were skeptic about renting car in phuket as we heard that there are scams where renters charge extra money from tourists when they return the car but that was not the case with this company, did not even charge 1 extra baht from us. Also the car had tinted windshields and windows to protect from the scorching sun. Loved the experience a lot. Will definitely use their service next time we are in Thailand and would also recommend to anybody travelling to Thailand.
